Anvanca Diet – Day 17: Total Calories 1250
Breakfast: The goal of a good low carb breakfast is the balance between saturated fat and protein. Protein and fat can help you feel satisfied, and protein can help you be more alert in morning. The challenge is to keep the saturated fat content as low as possible while still providing some variety.
Re-heat a slice of the simple quiche from Day 3
Lunch The goal of a good lunch is the balance between protein, fiber, and fat. Given the low number of carbs, we can see an insulin spike. We provide for a mid-day snack so that you can keep your blood sugar stable.
The Simple Salad: Prepare 2 cups of tossed salad. This can include lettuce and any other veggies that you like. Only veggies – no croutons, bacon bits, etc.. To the salad, add a single serve can, which is ⅓- ½ cup of tuna packed in water. Drizzle 2 tbsp. of Lite Italian Dressing (or another Lite variety). Sprinkle ¼ cup of sliced almonds to add some texture.
Snack: Peanuts – 1oz:
Dinner:
Anvanca® Grilled Pork Chops & Rice
¼ cup of your favorite low cal marinade (recommend garlic & herb)
2 boneless pork chops
1 cup of cooked green beans
½ cup of cooked broccoli
Place the pork chops into a sealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over top. Marinate in the refrigerator overnight, during the day while at work, or at minimum 1 hour before grilling. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat, and lightly oil grate. Remove pork chops from marinade, and shake off excess. Discard remaining marinade. Cook on preheated grill until the chops are no longer pink in the center, about 5 minutes per side depending on the thickness.
While the chops are grilling, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the broccoli in boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes until tender. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook the beans according to the package instructions.
Dessert: Treat yourself to a slice of ricotta cheese cake, topped with ⅛ cup of shaved almonds
