Anvanca Diet – Day 9: Total Calories 1200
Breakfast: The goal of a good breakfast is the balance between fiber and protein. The combination of which has been shown to keep you feeling fuller, longer, so you eat less.Total Calories: 463, Protein: 37g, Fiber 5.5g, Fat 12g.
Anvanca® Power Oatmeal
Oatmeal (1 cup)
Almonds (10)
½ cup of either strawberries or blueberries
Splenda (2 packets)
Add 1 cup of oatmeal to a bowl. Add almonds, Splenda, and water. Use the microwave as per the package directions. Add the berries either pre or post cooking depending up your own personal tastes.
Lunch: The goal of a good lunch is the balance between protein, fiber, and fat. The key is not to overeat to avoid an insulin spike. We provide for a mid-day snack so that you can keep your blood sugar stable.
Classic Turkey on Whole -wheat: You are permitted 8 slices of turkey breast on two slices of whole grain, multi-grain bread. Make sure that you can see some of the grain in the bread. Add any veggie you like. Do not add cheese. Only mustard is allowed as a condiment.
Snack: Almonds (1 oz), which is roughly 20 pieces.
Dinner:
Lime Marinated Chicken (Serves 4)
Ingredients
5 tablespoons key lime juice
2 tablespoons honey
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 teaspoon lemon pepper
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Directions
In a resealable plastic bag, mix the key lime juice, honey, garlic, and lemon pepper. Place the chicken in the bag, seal, and shake to coat. Marinate in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes, turning the bag occasionally. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat. Grill the marinated chicken about 8 minutes on each side, until no longer pink and juices run clear. Discard remaining marinade. Serve with 2 cups of tossed salad and 3 tablespoons of non-fat Italian dressing.
Dessert: 1 slice of Ricotta Cheesecake
