Breakfast : The goal of a good low carb breakfast is the balance between saturated fat and protein. Protein and fat can help you feel satisfied, and protein can help you be more alert in morning. The challenge is to keep the saturated fat content as low as possible while still provide some variety.
Basic Scrambled Eggs with Turkey Bacon: Scramble two eggs and cook 3 slices of turkey bacon.
Lunch : The goal of a good lunch is the balance between protein, fiber, and fat. Given the low number of carbs, we can see an insulin spike. We provide for a mid-day snack so that you can keep your blood sugar stable.
Roast Beef Rotisserie Style: You are permitted 6 slices – 3 ounces of lean roast beef rotisserie carved. Prepare one package of broccoli with cheese to accompany the roast beef.
Snack : Peanuts – 1oz:
Anvanca® Grilled BBQ Pork Chop
¼ cup of your favorite low cal BBQ Sauce
2 boneless pork chops
½ cup of cooked brown rice
½ cup of cooked corn
2 cups of tossed salad
2 tablespoons of Lite Italian dressing (or equivalent Lite variety)
Add the BBQ sauce to the pork chops at least a ½ hour before grilling. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat, and lightly oil grate. Remove pork chops. Retain the remaining BBQ sauce for basting. Cook on preheated grill until the chops are no longer pink in the center, about 5 minutes per side depending on the thickness. Serve with salad.
