Anvanca Diet – Day 8: Total Calories 1475
Start your day off right with a bowl of hearty oatmeal. A ham sandwich on whole wheat bread is on tap for lunch. Dinner is citrus white fish.
Breakfast: The goal of a good breakfast is the balance between fiber and protein. The combination of which has been shown to keep you feeling fuller, longer, so you eat less.
Anvanca®Power Oatmeal
Oatmeal (1 cup)
Almonds (10)
Raisins (0.5oz ~20)
Splenda (2 packets)
Add 1 cup of oatmeal to a bowl. Add almonds, Raisins, Splenda, and water. Use the microwave as per the package directions.
Protein Boost:
Add a ½ scoop of whey protein to 6oz of skim milk, and mix well.
Lunch: The goal of a good lunch is the balance between protein, fiber, and fat. The key is not to overeat to avoid an insulin spike. We provide for a mid-day snack so that you can keep your blood sugar stable.
The Smart Ham Sandwich: You are permitted 6 slices of 98% fat free deli ham on two slices of whole-grain, multi-grain bread. Make sure that you can see the grains. Add any veggie you like. Do not add cheese. Only mustard is allowed as a condiment.
Add an apple to finish with something sweet and full of fiber.
Snack: Popcorn – Air Popped, 2 cups.
Dinner:
Anvanca® Citrus White Fish: (Serves 2)
3/8 orange, peeled, sectioned, and cut into bite-size
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons canned pineapple chunks, un-drained
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon diced fresh mango
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 teaspoon diced red bell pepper
1 packet of Splenda
1 teaspoon chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons fresh orange juice
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon pineapple juice concentrate, thawed
1/2 pound swordfish, mahi-mahi, or similar meaty white fish steaks
1 cup of cooked brown rice
1 cup of cooked broccoli
In a medium-size bowl, combine oranges, pineapple chunks, mango, 1 tablespoon orange juice, diced red bell pepper, Splenda, and cilantro. Mix well. Add hot sauce to your heat liking. Refrigerate covered. In a ceramic bowl, mix orange juice, olive oil, cayenne pepper, and pineapple juice concentrate. Place fish in bowl, and turn to coat well. Marinate the fish for 30 to 60 minutes. Better to let it soak during the day while you are at work. Grill each side for a total time of about 12 to 15 minutes, until cooked through. Serve the grilled fish with the refrigerated citrus medley.
While grilling cook the rice and broccoli.
Dessert: Treat yourself to a slice of ricotta cheese cake topped with ⅛ cup of shaved almonds.
