Anvanca Diet – Day 27: Total Calories 1200
Today’s meals include a eggs for breakfast, our vegetarian spread sandwich for lunch, and vegetarian re-fried bean for dinner. It’s a wholesome and healthy mix for 1,200 calories.
Breakfast: The goal of a good breakfast is the balance between fiber and protein. The combination of which has been shown to keep you feeling fuller, longer, so you eat less.
Anvanca® Basic Egg White Omelet
3 Egg whites
Favorite chopped veggies: onions, mushrooms, green peppers, etc.
1 slice of reduced fat cheddar cheese
PAM or non-stick cooking spray
1 Slices of Whole Wheat Bread
1/2 pat of reduced fat/non fat spread
Pre-heat a skillet. Spray with non-stick cooking oil. Add veggies and egg to a bowl. Mix well. Add Salt and Pepper (I recommend garlic salt). Pour egg mixture into the skillet. Add bread to the toaster. When cooked on one-side, flip the omelet. Add the cheese to the top. Fold the omelet and serve. Add butter to the toast.
Lunch: The goal of a good lunch is the balance between protein, fiber, and fat. The key is not to overeat to avoid an insulin spike. We provide for a mid-day snack so that you can keep your blood sugar stable.
Veggie Spread Sandwich: Add one serving of veggie spread to two slices of whole wheat bread. Add any veggie you like.
Snack: Popcorn – Air Popped, 2 cups: Calories 62, Fiber 2g, Fat 1g.
Veggie Re-fried Beans with Rice & Broccoli
Ingredients (Serves 12)
1 pound dry pinto beans, rinsed
2 tablespoons minced garlic, divided
1 medium tomato, diced
2 tablespoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt to taste
½ cup of cooked rice
½ cup of cooked broccoli
Place the beans in a large saucepan, and cover with an inch of water. Place over high heat, and bring to a boil. When the beans have come to a boil, drain, and return them to the same pot. Cover the beans with 2 inches of water, and stir in 1 tablespoon of garlic, the tomato, cumin, and chili powder. Bring to a boil over high heat, and then reduce heat to low, and simmer until the beans are very soft, about 3 hours and 45 minutes, adding water as needed. Once the beans have cooked, mash them with the remaining tablespoon of garlic, the oil, and salt to taste; use additional water as needed to achieve desired consistency. Place over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. While beans are simmering, cook the rice and broccoli. Have 1 serving of beans with rice and broccoli.
Dessert: Treat yourself to a ½ a slice of vegetarian carrot cake.
