Day 01: Total Calories 1475 – Anvanca Diet
Hearty oatmeal starts the day off right followed by chicken salad for lunch. Anvanca® Chicken Parmesan is for dinner with strawberry shortcake for dessert.
Breakfast: The goal of a volumetrics diet is to swap high calorie dense foods for lower ones. Fat is the highest density nutrient so these options focus on whole grains and protein.
Anvanca® Power Oatmeal
Oatmeal (1 cup)
½ cup of strawberries
½ cup of blueberries
Splenda (2 packets)
Add 1 cup of oatmeal to a bowl. Add almonds, Splenda, and water. Use the microwave as per the package directions. Add the berries either pre or post cooking depending up your own personal tastes. Have an apple or banana to finish breakfast or to have as a mid-morning snack.
Lunch: The goal of lunch is to provide a filling low-calorie dense option, which keeps you full. We provide for a mid-day snack so that you can keep your blood sugar stable.
Classic Chicken Salad (Serves 5)
1/2 cup light mayonnaise
2 cloves crushed garlic
3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – cooked
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
Blend mayonnaise, vinegar, garlic and dill. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Stir together chicken, peppers and cheese, and blend with the chilled dressing. Plan to pack it for work. Round out the meal with a ½ cup of cooked green beans and 1 cup of 1% fat cottage cheese.
Anvanca® Chicken Parmesan
- 2 chicken breasts
- ½ cup of pasta sauce
- 2 slice of reduced fat provolone
- ½ cup of cooked broccoli
Preheat oven 375 degrees. Spray foil lined pan with non-stick vegetable coating. Place chicken on foil. Add ½ the sauce and bake 20-30 minutes. Check that chicken is cooked. Add the remainder of the sauce, and place the cheese on top. Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
While the chicken is baking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the broccoli in boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes until tender. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Anvanca® Guilt Free Strawberry Shortcake
- Angel Food Cake
- Strawberry sauce (Fresh Strawberries & Splenda)
Add 5 medium strawberries, a ½ cup of water, and 1 ½ tsp of Splenda to a small sauce pot. Stir and let simmer for 5 to 10 min. Once you’ve reduced the contents by half, reduce the heat. Stir for a few more minutes until thick. Remove from heat. It makes 2 Servings. Pour half the sauce over 1 slice of angel food cake. Enjoy!
