Day 27: Total Calories 1450 - Anvanca Diet
Breakfast: The goal of a volumetrics diet is to swap high calorie dense foods for lower ones. Fat is the highest density nutrient so these options focus on whole grains and protein.
Anvanca® Huevos Rancheros
4 egg whites
½ cup of salsa
2 whole-wheat tortillas
Salt
Pepper
Spray a skillet with a non-fat cooking spray and heat it on medium until hot. Scramble eggs and cook on the skillet. While still warm, add the eggs to the tortillas and top with the cheddar. Once the cheddar has started to melt, add ½ the salsa. Roll the tortillas and add the remainder of the salsa. Serve.
Lunch: The goal of a good lunch is the balance between protein, fiber, and fat. Given the low number of carbs, we can see an insulin spike. We provide for a mid-day snack so that you can keep your blood sugar stable.
Have a full can of Progresso® or similar brand of Lentil Soup. With the soup, have 2 cups of tossed green salad. Feel free to add any number of vegetables to the mix. Do not add croutons, bacon bits, or other condiments. If you add beans, make sure that it is no more than one scoop. Top with 2 tablespoons of Lite Italian or similar low calorie dressing.
Snack: Apple or similar piece of fruit
Dinner:
Have one serving of BBQ Chicken with a serving of garlic spinach and a cup of cooked green beans.
Anvanca® Grill-less BBQ Chicken: (Serving, Serves 2)
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons chopped onions
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons distilled white vinegar
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Mix the onions, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, dry mustard, salt, and pepper in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a baking dish. Arrange chicken in the baking dish. Pour sauce over the chicken. Bake 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until chicken is not pink inside.

1 tablespoon unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
2 (10 ounce) bags fresh spinach
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 lemon, juiced
Directions
Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the garlic; cook and stir until the garlic is fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the spinach a few handfuls at a time, stirring until wilted before adding more, about 5 minutes. Stir in the lemon juice, and season with garlic salt.
Dessert: Enjoy a slice of Angel Food Cake topped with Strawberry Sauce.
