Weight Loss Product Reviews

There are so many weight loss products on the market today, it's hard to tell which diet pill works. The truth is, there are some pills that work better than others, and it's important to know which best match your needs. However, the single biggest factor in determining whether a pill will work for you, is what you do with it. No matter how good a pill may be, if you aren't willing to put some effort into it, you'll likely be disappointed with the results.

Is Oxy Elite Pro™ Really a Diet Pill That Works?

Oxy Elite Pro bases all its claims on efficacy on how it affects the alpha 2 receptor in the body. This is going to require a little bit of a science lesson, but it will be brief.

The alpha-2 receptor plays a role in how the nervous system and the body work together.  Neurochemicals such as epinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine (noradrenaline) activate the alpha-2 receptor in the central and peripheral nervous systems.  This means if you inhibit the receptor, the neural signals are left switched “on” or “off”.  This is important for weight loss because the alpha-2 receptor is responsible for shutting down fat burning.  Leaving it switched off should keep the fat burning switch turned on.

This is a good thing, right?

It would be if it were the only thing that the alpha 2 receptor controlled.  The alpha receptor is also involved in regulating the blood flow to the heart and to the rest of the body.  It’s also responsible for helping us “calm down”.  Keeping it switched off means that any stimulating effect will be accentuated. This alone might not be a problem, but when you consider that Oxy Elite Pro contains other stimulants, you can begin to see the concern.

The biggest concern is around the ingredient,1,3-Dimethylamylamine.  On April 27, 2012, the FDA issued a warning letter to all manufactures of supplements containing 1,3-Dimethylamylamine for marketing a product “for which evidence of the safety of the product had not been submitted to the FDA”.  In the FDA’s press release, they stated that

DMAA is known to narrow the blood vessels and arteries, which can elevate blood pressure and may lead to [heart problems]. The agency has received 42 adverse event reports on products containing DMAA. While the complaints do not establish that DMAA was the cause of the incidents, some of the reports have included cardiac disorders, nervous system disorders, psychiatric disorders, and death.

Given Oxy Elite Pro’s claimed activity in turning off the alpha-2 reception, helping relax blood vessels, only increases the concern around DMAA.

Bottom Line: There are a number of safety questions with Oxy Elite Pro so one should be careful.

If you are looking for a weight loss program, you should consider Anvanca®.  Anvanca is different.  Our supplement will work as well as any of the others out there, but what’s different about Anvanca is, we don’t leave you after the sale, and we don’t target the nervous system.  We provide comprehensive meal plans, exercise plans, and tracking tools so you can be more successful.  At $9.99 for your first bottle, Anvanca is extremely affordable.  Let’s face it, no matter what pill you choose, they will be more effective when coupled with a sensible diet and some exercise.
